The doll is a little over seven inches high. It comes with a stand and is meant for display rather than play. Quality overall is good. Her expression I would say is “perplexed”. Her hair is made of blue plastic. The face can be snapped off so that you can move the eyeballs into the position that you want. Overall a nice product.
I bought Coraline doll for my 12 year old daughter and she absolutely loved it. However, no sooner did she take it out of the box that a foot fell off. Doll is advertised as bendable, with removable clothing. However, upon removing clothing, hand and other foot fell off. After many emails, manufacturer did replace, but warned clothing is not to be removed or hands and feet will break off. Should have been noted on box for display only. Poor advertising.
One of three action figures of Coraline available in a large size, well, larger than the others anyway. I must admit, the figure’s sculpting, paintwork and real cloth costume are on target, and couldn’t be more accurate, unless you have the real thing. Durability, I think a child would have fun with this. My only complaint is the face, or faces actually. The manufacturer advertises different expressions, copied from the original character, randomly inserted on these dolls. However, I have only found one, at the very least the more interesting ones must be short packed “chase” figures. Every one I’ve seen has a pout or frown on it, not her best look. Other than that, it’s a great toy and cool collectible.
Ah… buying over the internet. As such there are sometimes surprises. I could swear the amazon listing said this was a 9″ figurine, but what arrived was much smaller than I expected. I came back to this page to see it is listed as 8 inches, not sure if it changed, still that isn’t correct either. Even if one takes into account the small stand that comes with the figure its barely 7.2 inches tall. Also, the smirk the character is shown as having in the product picture isn’t the face I received on my figure, mine has a depressed scowl. Maybe appropriate to the character, but still not what I expected. Overall I’m not too disappointed. I’m not a toy collector at all, but I did like the character design so much for this film that I though it would be neat to have a little Coraline for my desk. It is well sculpted and fairly detailed figure, though I would guess its not very durable for actual playtime. It says that the face is removable as well, so I wonder if there are a bunch of different faces floating around, would’ve been cool to have included a couple different ones in each figure if that was the case. Overall, nice looking display figure, but if I had to buy it again knowing what i know now, I certainly wouldn’t have paid the 20 bucks amazon was charging when I ordered mine. (Took 5 weeks to arrive with the super saver shipping)
I purchased this after recently watching the movie. I was very excited to receive the doll, and I ordered the doll through a seller on Amazon called kyozentertainment. It came relatively quickly through the super shipping option, and I was happy to receive the doll in sturdy packaging.
When I saw the doll, I was extremely surprised (not in a good way). Thinking I would have a simple faced, 8 inch doll made me happy. To my surprise, she was much shorter than stated, and she looks very angry.
Her eyebrows are thrown together and she is pouting. To this day, she is still not out of her packaging.
If you wish to purchase this doll, please be aware of the poor product description-purchase this doll at your own risk. From reading other reviews, I think the doll’s face will vary. If you’re willing to take the risk, you will probably enjoy this doll. In my opinion, it was a waste of my money.
